The re-scheduled LongRun Day, an annual event hosted by Woodbine Entertainment Group to showcase and distribute information about off the track thoroughbreds, is slated for Saturday, November 30 at Woodbine.
LongRun Thoroughbred Retirement Society is a registered charity which operates out of Woodbine Racetrack and helps find adoptive homes and new careers for thoroughbreds once their racing days are over through fostering, rehabilitating and retraining the horses who run for our pleasure. In addition, LongRun serves to educate the racing industry and the general public about the merits of its programme. There are currently over 45 horses in LongRun’s foster care, awaiting new, loving homes.
An information area will be set up on Woodbine’s third floor of the grandstand and our popular calendar of graduates, sponsored by the H.B.P.A., will be distributed, as well as newsletters and brochures. Many of Woodbine’s jockey colony will be available for autographs from noon until approximately 2:00 p.m. and there will be LongRun merchandise and Christmas cards for sale. Please join us and receive your free copy of our beautiful calendar.
