“Winning a Sovereign Award was a great achievement for me so early in my career writing about the sport.” Alex Campbell, freelance writer and 2013 Sovereign Award Winner for Outstanding Writing, “Thoroughbred racing is a strong passion of mine. I enjoy every aspect of the sport from racing, to breeding and the sales. I’m looking forward to telling more stories of the horses and the people that make the sport happen for many years down the road.”

On April 8, 2016, Sovereign Awards trophies will be presented at the 41st Annual Sovereign Awards Ceremony to recognize the Champions of Thoroughbred racing in Canada for 2015. (please note that Ceremony date is subject to change pending Woodbine 2016 start date approval).
